Here are the instructions for your video project:

Part A

Form teams of three
Coop discussion and brainstorming on the cultural elements of your city. (Quebec City)
Find a foreign city and write the name of your city on the sign-up sheet.
Look up information on the cultural elements of your chosen city. (special events, religion, language, food, architecture, history, etc.)
Use as many relevant sources as needed (Wikipedia, atlas, Internet, government & tourism web sites, travel brochures, etc.)
Select 6 important cultural aspects that you will write about.
For each subject, write a 150 word text giving descriptions and other necessary information.
First correction
Peer correction and comments
Post on this blog in the appropriate sector (your city)
Read other groups' work and post comment regarding what you think of the differences between here (in Quebec City) and the foreign city.

Part B

In this step, you will gather your information about Quebec City and create a short 5 minute video / picture slideshow that will introduce foreign students to your own city.

Team brainstorming on the elements of the video.
Mind map or graphic of the sequence of images, music and effects.
Create a video based on the content you discovered in the first part of the project.
Post your video on the forum
Give constructive comments to the other teams’ videos
